I know it may seem that I write about Nice’s nightlife, but in all honesty, it’s what I know most about. Having spent a lot of time out and about in Vieux Nice and just around, I’ve learned a lot about what there is to do here during the Witching Hours. I’ve talked about le Fard and le Bleu, two primarily gay places, the former a bar, the latter a club. Well this entry will be focusing on another gay friendly club called Le Klub.
Located just before la Zone Pietonne, le Klub is a gay friendly club that is quite popular with the locals. Its 15 euros to get in during the “peak times” (ie. after 11pm) but if you know the right people or have a flyer you can usually get in for free before 11pm. The drinks are way too expensive, so it’s recommended to drink before hand, and only buy A drink when there seeing they run for about 10euros a mixed drink, and about 7euros for a beer.
Though le Klub is popular, they don’t play pop music like in le Bleu, they prefer to churn out underground and electronica music. So if that is your type of scene, you’ll have a blast. Apparently though they have different theme nights throughout the week, from what I understand, Sunday nights are their 80’s night, which was a blast when I went there.
Many thanks,
Michael
