So, my two years of goofing off are nearly up. I've spent the last month or so really trying to figure out what I want to do with the next few years of my life. I've just sent in my application to University of Madison Wisconsin for their PhD program.
You heard right ladies and gents, I'm going to go for my Doctorat. Ideally though, I'd like to do it in Europe, but I figured it'd be better to have my "just in case" school. The schools in Europe I'm looking into are Science Politiques in Paris, Universite de Geneve, in Geneva, one in Bordeaux and one in Lyon.
You may think I'm crazy for wanting to do my Doctorat overseas, but there is a method to my madness. Ultimately, I want duel citizenship, not because I'm Anti-America, but the economic opportunities presented with duel citizenship would afford me the best jobs money could buy.
To obtain said duel nationality, I need to stay in a European country for a minimum of five years consecutively before I can begin the process. I've already gotten two under my belt! And with the PhD it'd be another 6 easily! Of course i wouldn't be guarenteed anything and it wouldn't be an immediate process, this is France afterall, but it'd be interesting to start!
Probably won't be an easy process, and everything depends on me getting into a French university....But i've done crazier, right?
