So it's been a long time since I've written, and I apologize for that. However, it's been a busy past few weeks, between trying to see friends and family back in NY/NJ and then getting settled while in Nice.
I must say, this year will definitely be different than last. I've met all the new lecteurs/coworkers, and though they are all very sweet and nice people, it's not the same as last year. Immediately, I noticed that the dynamic wasn't the same, this years group will be mostly a coworker mentality rather than friend category. Which isn't bad, it just is a shame. But we all have our own things to do.
However, with that said, I've moved in with one of the new lecteurs, and him and I get along splendidly. He's a Brit, and it's quite fun living with him. We've decided that there needs to be a sitcom about us. "He's American, he's Brittish, he's gay, he's straight! Together, we're living in Nice!" cheezy music and smiles everywhere. I personally think it'll be a hit!
This year should be "the" year though. time to figure out what I'm going to do with the rest of my life. The more and more I think about it, the more I know I want to get my PhD. I just hope I can get into Sciences Po. If not, there's Madison and maybe NYU.
So gotta start applying for all that.
