So after watching a cilp from the daily show, i learned something qutie dismaying about a bill that was rejected. It was a bill that would provide health care for first respondents in the 9/11 attacks. it was rejected. As disheartening as that was to find out, it was even more dismaying to learn that my own representative voted against it.
So below is my email to him:

Esteemed Representative Frelinghuysen,
I am a 25 year old resident from Parsippany-Troy Hills township in Morris County, and I am appalled to learn that you voted against the bill that would provide health care for those first respondents in the September 11th, terrorist attacks.
I am disgusted and dismayed for many reasons, one of which being that you serve a district which has a huge number of commuters who work in NYC!
Secondly, it is just disheartening to know that politics are more important than the peoples well-being that you so proudly claim to serve. From my understanding, the reason this bill was rejected was because it would "raise taxes." Frankly, even if that were true, I think this is one of those issues where raising taxes wouldn't be considered such a terrible thing, given the purpose and goal of the bill.
However, I firmly believe it was denied simply because your constituents are those Multinationals who not only continue to give you money to get re-elected but would also be hurt by the tax increase.
Any defense you may have against voting down this bill is no doubt a last ditch effort to appear like a rational human being and a politician who is "for the little guy." However, based on the partisan division of this bill (minus 4 democrats who voted against it), I would not believe a word of it. To me this is just another example of the extreme partisan division within our government which serves no one, and only makes politicians, yourself included, seem even more out of touch with reality than Glenn Beck, or for a comparison that you would appreciate, John Stewart.
I sincerely hope that one day you meet someone who inspires any remaining spark of humanity and pity within your otherwise politically corrupted and obsessed heart.
Sincerely,
James Doughty "
