So it's been a relaxing and chilled week, so I decided last night to go see the movie I Love You Phillip Morris. No, it has nothing to do with cigarettes, that's just the name of Ewan McGreggors character. It's about two men who meet and fall in love in Prison. Jim Carrey stars as the neurotic, selfish and quite enjoyable character of Stephen, who is an excellent con man and tries (unsuccessfully) to escape from prison in order to be with his lover.
Overall the movie was weird, unexpected and quite enjoyable. It's not a typical love story, even for gay romances. Also, what I didn't know, is that it was based on a real life story, which just makes the whole thing even more enjoyable.
So if you're in the mood to see Jim Carrey shine, and see Ewan McGreggor be his normal adorable self, I Love You Phillip Morris will not dissapoint.
