So the first night in London was a huge success, the girls were wonderful and it gave me a chance to practice my interpreting and translation skills seeing there was an American with us who didn't speak a word of French.
One of the funnier parts of the night was when the Belgians were talking about me and my friend's French skills. It turns out that I have great grammar and speaking capabilities but my friend has the better accent but makes a lot of mistakes. I can live with that!
The first day we walked around most of the big touristy things. Saw big Ben, Westminster, Parliament and and Buckingham Palace. me and my friendsn ew that we didn't want to go out to the bars becasue it would be expensive and crowded.
So me, my friend, the American and the Francophones went to the river to see the fireworks for the New Year next to London Eye. The fireworks were really quite amazing, and it was a beautiful site.
Afterwards we went back to the hostel and got some beers where we spent another awesome night together.
