So it's my first Christmas without anyone from home, and it's a beautiful day in the city! Sunny, not a cloud in the sky, isn't it beautiful!
Last night I spent the night with Mathieu and his mother and had a traditional French dinner. It was amazing! I can't remember how many courses there were, nor do I remember how many glasses of champagne or wine that I had, but I remember what I ate.
I had foies gras, oysters, shrimp, salmon, and a beef/duck combination. It was all amazing! We finished off the night with my apple pie, which both said was delicious and watched a Sweedish girl badly pronounce French and introduce funny commericals and internet videos.
All and all, it was a wonderful night, and I was happy not to spend it alone. Tonight, I'm going ot head to the Snug for their Christmas dinner. I'm hoping my friend Miranda and her boy will join me.
But if not, I'll make the best of it. It's what I'm good at.
