So in the tradition of every other job that I've had, my colleagues and I had a little Christmas party on Tuesday night. And it was a blast! We met up in the center of town in the Christmas market. The first thing we did was have some Vin Chaud (Hot wine) which is a wonderful winter treat made up of red wine, spices, and oranges, it's absolutley wonderful!
We sat around enjoying our wine and just had some wonderful laughs. Following the wine, we went on the Ferris Wheel which was just amazing. It was really cold on top, but we all got to go on the same cart, and for a euro off each one of us because Erica is awesome and talked to the guys about getting a "group discount."
Following the ferris wheel, we went back to Erica's place where we sat around, prepared some food, drink more wine and got ready for presents. One of the best moments of the night was when we were visited by none other than Santa Claus himself! (Pete dressed up and not one of us knew about it!) It was just brilliant!
It seemed like we all got gifts from our secret santas that were useful and stuff we all would want. I, for example, got a cook book on Nicois cooking (IN French) TOTALLY COOL!
Overall, it was a great night, with great conversation, wine, and food. That is a party to go into the books :)
