Well, I just spent my second weekend away. This time I went to Paris. When I first came to Europe, I told myself that there were three things that I wanted to do while I was in Europe.
1. Go to Paris during X mas time to see the lights.
2. Go to London for new Years
3. Go to Venice for Carnivale
Well, I can check the first one off my list!
Paris was absolutley beautiful. It was cold, friking cold, but beautiful. I ended up seeing all the people I wanted to see: Will and James, Nicolas and Annaelle. I spent most of my time with Will and James, and they took me around to the Christmas Market at Champs Elysees and the Eiffel Tower.
It was a great weekend and I can now finally say i've done everything touristic there is to do in Paris, seeing I finished off the weekend with a trip to the Louvre, where i was able to get pictures of The Mona Lisa, Odelesque, The Wrath of Medusa, and Venus.
My last day was a little rough because I was up for about 22 hours. I had to check out of the hostel at 11am but my shuttle wasn't until 4:45 the next morning. I managed to kill time by going to the natural museum of history, saw a movie and had coffee. I ended it with seeing Annaelle and watching a movie at the hostel.
A good weekend, but expensive.
