Oh Geneva is not Nice! It’s actually brisk and cold outside. Very refreshing. Although, I’m sure ti’s one of those things that will get old really quickly. But right now, I love it! There’s just something about the morning crisp air waking you up. I’m sitting in the café around the corner from my hostel. It cost me 9 Swiss Francs for breakfast! This city is beautiful, but expensive. The exchange rate for the Swiss Franc to the American dollar is about one to one, so I just spent 9 bucks on the following: a banana, glass of orange juice, and a pastry. Ouch! But, from what I understand, the people are paid relatively well so that the prices don’t take too much of a toll on everyday life. I guess 9 bucks for a less than filling breakfast is the price one pays for universal healthcare, 500 dollar a semester tuition bill and relatively free public transport.
Oh and even better news: I can take money out of my French account; my banker came through for me. Go M. Tinelli! Last night, at the bar, the guy I met told me about the master’s program; apparently they weed out the weakling’s. Fuck! Looks like I’ll be working my ass off to improve my French. But that shouldn’t be a problem, I’m many things, smart, sexy, funny; but most of all, I’m stubborn as an ass!
So $500 per semester? Hmm. But the cost of living would apparently make up for the cheap ass education.
Do you really want to come back to the states and work for the UN with a $500 per semester degree? Meanwhile the rest of your would be co-workers at the UN will have $100,000+ educations from an Ivy League school?
