His last meal in the USA
I just dropped Jamie off at Newark airport in NJ. We actually got to the airport very early and had our last meal together. We ate at the Chili's in Terminal B. It was yummy, and so not on my diet.
It was hard saying goodbye this time. But not as hard as it was when he went to Guadalupe a few years ago. We were both expressing that "this is not goodbye" attitude. I have to get over there to see him, hopefully several times, during the next 12 months.

He's going over there for a teaching job. He's teaching ESL, that's English as a Second Language for all you silly non-school folk. He graduated from MSU in Sprint 2009. He got a BA in French "something" and Business "something" lol. His goal is to work for the UN, but he needs a lot more education and experience before he can do that. Instead of rolling right into grad school he took a teaching job in Nice, France for the 2009-2010 school year.

Matthew & Jamie
We've been together for almost 5 years, and the bastard is going away... AGAIN! I'm sad, but not balling my eyes out sad like I was last time. Well, not right now this second anyway. I told him I will get out there for Thanksgiving, and make hm my home made French Onion Soup. Ironic, no?
Somehow I have to figure out how to actually get out there. Right now this moment I don't have the money. My business is in abysmal shape. I can't afford to buy food right now. Literally. I'm also 3 months behind on my mortgage. I don't know what's going to happen in the next few months. I'm about to give up. Maybe move over there with him and get a job with a monkey and a music box on a street corner.

There he goes through security.
Bye Jamie *waves*
Anyway, back to Jamie leaving... he exchanged money at Terminal B. There is a money exchange place there, it's right in the center of the terminal. The US Dollar to Euro is really low with now, so he got less money than he was hoping, and not enough to pay for his first month's rent.
I'm sure this is going to be an adventure for him. My guy is going away and will come back (well I hope anyway) a mature man. God I'm going to miss him!
I put this website together for Jamie, my love, so he can chronicle his experiences in Nice, France. I'm hoping he will use the site to keep me up to date with his adventures, and so to slowly build a tour guide for Nice.
I hope you enjoy reading.
I miss you.
Psst. ESL is totally an American thing :) They have EFL: English as a Foreign Language, seeing most people here speak at least two languages. And I majored in French Translation and Civilization thank you!
Miss you too
Matt
